We were delighted to join other local agents during the run up to Christmas to catch up on the year gone by.

It was agreed by all that 2023 had been extremely challenging with the wider economy and yet more unexpected factors causing uncertainty for businesses, however despite all this the regional market had remained positive and agents had managed to get deals over the line.

Rents continued to creep upwards and as the year went on, freehold prices (particularly on the better quality stock) had started to recover after the reaction to the hike in interest rates. Attendees from Drake & Partners, TDB Real Estate and Hadlands met up to discuss the market, regional trends and review their expectations for 2024.

The meeting was made all the more entertaining as the attendees got in the Christmas spirit, with a selection of festive outfits and accessories on show. In future we think it would be best if they stick to the chinos and shirts….
