We were delighted to sponsor and take part in Northampton Saints recent match against the Barbarians.

In what has now become an annual fixture, Northampton Saints hosted a travelling Barbarians team that was this year made up largely of Australian and Japanese internationals who are on standby for the current Rugby World Cup being played in France.

By sponsoring one of the Barbarians players, it supports the town’s rugby club to host the fixture and helps the travelling side to promote their ethos which is about different nations and different cultures creating lifelong contacts.

We also attended the pre-game Barbarians training session and lunch where we met with our sponsored player, Lachlan Lonergan, and joined in a Q&A session with Northampton Saints and Barbarians players and coaching staff. The event was supported by various local and regional companies and proved an excellent opportunity to network with fellow Northampton and East Midlands businesses.

The following day, a youthful Northampton Saints side succumbed to a Barbarians squad packed with internationals in a high-scoring encounter at Franklin’s Gardens.
