Drake Commercial are delighted to confirm the appointment of Joe Smith as an Equity Partner in the business.
Joe joined Drake Commercial back in 2015, having previously worked at LSH and BNP Paribas in Birmingham. He arrived as an Associate, before working his way up to Partner level and has now joined existing Equity Partners Nicholas Roberts, David Smith and Tom Drake. Tony Drake also continues to provide his expertise in his consultancy role.
After what has been a fairly unpredictable year, this appointment is reward for Joe’s efforts and shows the confidence we have as a business in our commercial property market, in particular the industrial and warehouse sectors, which have proved extremely robust during the last 12 months. Take up stats in this field are significantly ahead of the figures for previous years.
Joe himself has been evidence of this, achieving national recognition from the Estates Gazette having been crowned as Northamptonshire’s ‘Most Active Deal Maker’ in consecutive years for 2019 and 2020. The Estates Gazette’s Radius Data Exchange analyses national statistics to give out local, regional and national awards, for the most active agents in their fields. Drake Commercial themselves were recently named in the top 5 Most Active Agents in the whole of the East Midlands region, which meant we were the highest placing non multi office practice.
