Through our involvement with the East Midlands Industrial Agents Society (IAS), we are delighted that the annual golf events we have organised have raised £5,000 for charity.

In what has now become an annual fixture, members of the East Midlands IAS take on members of the West Midlands IAS in a Ryder Cup style golf event. The event allows members of the wider region to connect and get to know each other better, as well any profits raised through sponsorship, player entry and activities on the day raising money for local charities.

The two regions take it in turn to host the event, with whoever is at home donating profits to their chosen charities.

The two fixtures hosted by the East Midlands side at Staverton Golf Club and the Nottinghamshire Golf Club have raised a combined total of £5,000. The organisers for the East Midlands were Tom Drake of Drake & Partners and Sean Bremner of CPP who are the Chair and Treasurer for the region and have selected the following charities, which the money will be split equally between.

  • Air Ambulance Service for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.
  • Air Ambulance for Lincs and Notts.
  • Northamptonshire Association for the Blind (NAB).
  • Rainbows Children’s Hospice based in Loughborough.

The event has been supported by Industrial Agents Society members from across the Midlands including Drake & Partners (Northampton), CPP (Nottingham), TDB Real Estate (Northampton), Hadlands (Northampton), FHP (Nottingham), APB (Leicester), M1 Agency (Nottingham), Wells McFarlane (Lutterworth), Geo Hallam (Nottingham), HEB (Nottingham), Underwoods (Northampton), Innes England (Leicester), Mather Jamie (Leicester), Garrison RE (Birmingham), KWB (Birmingham), Savills (Birmingham), JLL (Birmingham), Harris Lamb (Birmingham), Bulleys (Wolverhampton), Avison Young (Coventry), Carter Jonas (Birmingham).

In addition to the IAS members, the event has been sponsored each year by industrial developers/investors Logicor and Indurent. We are all hugely grateful for their support as without them the event wouldn’t happen and the same levels would not be raised for our charities.

Tom Drake, Partner at Drake & Partners and Chair of the East Midlands IAS confirmed: “We are thrilled that the event is proving so successful and that the two years we have hosted so far has raised a meaningful amount to the 4 charities that we have chosen. The organisation is being picked up by other members next year and we look forward to achieving the same for their chosen beneficiaries. A huge additional thanks to the sponsors Logicor and Indurent who have supported the event from year one and have helped make it a success. Well done to every IAS member who has taken part over the last few years. Look forward to building on these successes in recent years”.
