Drake & Partners Building Consultancy team have been instructed to coordinate the delivery of the new flagship stables project at Delapre Abbey in Northampton.

The 19th century stable block is a substantial, unused heritage asset on the important Grade II and II* Delapré Abbey Estate. The stables are being converted to provide a well being hub for the local community, as well as provide a retail offering to support the Trust’s long-term sustainability.

The ‘A Stable Future’ project presents an opportunity to secure a financially sustainable future for the Trust and the long-term preservation of the whole Abbey site, whilst offering improved wellbeing opportunities for the local community. Through the restoration and repurposing of the former 19th Century Stables, Gate Lodge and Gardeners Cottage, and associated wellbeing and learning programmes.

Drake & Partners have been instructed to provide Project Management and Cost Consultancy advise and will effectively manage the project and conversion of the existing stables from their current condition, through to the opening of the new facility in Q3 2026.
