Drake & Partners have been delighted to support the Northamptonshire Association for the Blind in recent years and we are pleased to hear about some of the events they were able to put on prior to the pandemic.

Partner Tom Drake ran the Bath Half Marathon for the NAB in 2019, raising nearly £3,000 for the local charity. In addition Drake & Partners were delighted to sponsor a Dining in the Dark event that the NAB hosted, giving sighted people the opportunity to taste some fantastic food without being able to see what it looks like. A fantastic experience and brilliantly hosted event, and an opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of those that are visually impaired.

We were also delighted to hear how two of Tom’s main sponsors on his run, Country Lion and Ensafe, provided transport and funding for the NAB to take a number of visually impaired children and their family to Drayton Manor theme park last year. We love the photo of the squad day out and look forward to supporting more such events as soon as we can.
