Drake & Partners are pleased to report a very positive pick up in occupier activity as we have approached the end of the year.
In what has been a positive but slightly up and down year, occupier activity in October, November and into December has been extremely encouraging ahead of the new year.
Evidence of this was particularly clear in the sub 20,000 sq ft market in our patch, where we at Drake & Partners have put close to 20 properties under offer over the last couple of months. In Rugby in particular, at the beginning of November we had 6 properties available that were between 5-10,000 sq ft – all of which are now under offer.
There will be some significant rises in overheads for occupiers next year, labour costs being the obvious one with the rise in the National Living Wage and National Insurance contributions, but the finish to this year hopefully sets the tone for a positive start to 2026.
